At Apolitical, we’re excited by the potential of AI. Our mission is to help build 21st century governments that work for people and the planet, and we believe AI can help us — and you — achieve it.
But, as with all new technologies, AI needs strong governance to ensure it’s used responsibly, fairly and sustainably. One of the risks of generative AI (like ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini) is that the systems sometimes hallucinate, meaning they can generate content that’s factually incorrect or entirely false.
To counter this, we work closely with experts in the field to ensure that all content we produce is accurate and nuanced. Our learning designers use AI as a tool to help them research, curate and write our courses, but every element is carefully shaped and edited by multiple humans.
And where AI works directly with you (contextualising an activity to your role, role playing a scenario with you or giving feedback on what you've written), the instructions behind it are designed by our learning designers, peer-reviewed and tested against expert judgement before anything reaches you.
